Quality and visual inspection software

Measurement without a record is not quality control. Komax quality software links the measuring instruments to production: QCenter does not release the run until crimp height and pull-out force match target values; SmartVision and CrimpLab assess the micrograph to standard; WinCrimp archives everything for the audit. Inside the machine, WireCam, SmartDetect and AIC monitor every strip.

SmartDetect for Cut & Strip Machines

SmartDetect – Blade-contact detection for Schleuniger cut-and-strip machines, ensuring high stripping quality without reducing productivity.

AIC

Adaptive Incision Control (AIC) – Automatic incision adjustment during production to optimize stripping, reduce setup time and minimize scrap and downtime.

QCenter

QCenter Software – Integrates crimp height and pull-force measurement in production and allows production release only when targets are met.

SmartVision

SmartVision Software – Micrograph evaluation software supporting common crimp types (B, MIL, oval, arbor) for fast, consistent quality assessment.

CrimpLab 3

Cross-section analysis software with definable workflows; available in Manual and Automatic versions for scalable QC.

WinCrimp 8

Data analysis and traceability software with graphical reports; available in Basic, Standard and Pro versions.

QCenter, SmartVision, CrimpLab 3, WinCrimp 8

QCenter integrates crimp height and pull-out force measurement and releases production only on a target/actual match. SmartVision assesses micrographs of B, MIL, oval and arbor crimps quickly and consistently. CrimpLab 3 analyses cross-sections with programmable workflows in Manual and Automatic versions. WinCrimp 8 provides charts, reports and traceability in Basic, Standard and Pro.

WireCam, SmartDetect, AIC: control inside the machine

WireCam checks the strip result and seal position with a camera. SmartDetect detects blade-to-strand contact on Schleuniger Cut & Strip machines without losing throughput. Adaptive Incision Control adjusts the incision automatically for faster setup and less scrap.

Frequently asked questions

Can the software stop production on a bad crimp?

Yes. QCenter releases the run only when measured crimp height and pull-out force match the target values for the terminal; on deviation production is blocked.

Which crimp profiles does SmartVision assess?

Standard B-crimp, MIL, oval and arbor profiles — with automatic measurement of the key dimensions from the micrograph and comparison with the specification.

How is a nicked strand detected during stripping?

SmartDetect electrically detects and signals contact between the blade and conductor during cutting, while AIC adjusts the cutting depth automatically. ACD is the standalone cut-monitoring version.
